What should I expect from my first session?
Every session is designed to suit the individual needs of each of my clients. I create each treatment plan according to your medical history, current health, conditions, and bodily needs. Upon entering your session, I will conduct a brief intake interview and you will fill out intake paperwork unless it was completed online. We will then discuss your treatment plan, following that you will undress to your comfort level (leaving underwear on) and get completely under the sheets. When I arrive back in the room, the session begins. You are to expect a safe, immersive healing experience.

What if if laying face down or face up is not an option for me?
The beauty of massage and bodywork is it is flexible, just as our bodies. If laying face down or up is not an option for you, we can always try side lying with a pillow in between the arms and legs for support.

What if I'm having trouble relaxing during the session?
The utmost priority is your comfortability. If you find yourself fidgeting or unable to still your body just communicate with me and we can work through these moments with a pause or deep breathing. Often times when this happens I will talk my clients through the session which seems to lessen the fidgeting or I will move to the head neck region to try and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.

What if I don't feel comfortable removing my clothes?
Again, my main concern is the overall wellbeing and comfortability of my clients. Each session I encourage my clients to undress to their COMFORT LEVEL, as some clients prefer to keep certain clothing garments on. Typically, clients looking for deep tissue and therapeutic work will remove both shirt, pants, and bra. However, I do ask that LOWER UNDERGARMENTS (underwear, boxers, or spandex shorts) REMAIN ON at ALL TIMES, even if a client desires gluteal and hip work.
These decisions are at the discretion of my client and I's safety, and in conjunction with state laws. Private areas will be covered AT ALL TIMES with a sheet and blanket.
