Client/Therapist Safety precautions, standards, and expectations 

Safety precautions

  • Clients are expected to maintain hygiene and health standards for both their safety and the therapist. Please follow the requirements below:

    1. ​Wash up quickly or take a relaxing shower prior to your session. Either way, it is important to PROPERLY clean the epidermis before receiving oils and prolonged manipulations to the skin and muscles.

    2. NEVER come STRAIGHT to your appoint FROM the gym, pool, beach, sauna, hot tubs, or any public place where you are at higher risk for contracting bacteria, fungi, viruses, or other organisms such as lice, sand fleas, or ticks. â€‹

  • If you have PREEXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS or have had SURGERY you must notify me before your session 

  • DO NOT consume any medications prior to your session, as massage increases the metabolism and will speed up the effect of any medications. 

  • ​Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal caretaker. 

Therapist's expectations for clients 

  • **Every client is legally obligated to adhere to my business policies, standards, and precautions, as they are in place strictly to maintain a safe, hygienic, peaceful, and harmonic environment.**​

    • 1. All clients must complete Intake forms and paperwork. 

    • 2. No phones on the massage table. ​

    • 3. No profane, suggestive or sexual language. Clients will be given one warning, but afterwards I am entitled to terminate the session. 

    • 4. Lower undergarments REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES 

    • 5. Treat your healing time as sacred time

    • 6. Arrive 5 minutes early or on time. 

    • 7. If you arrive to your session earlier than five before, you are subject to wait in the sitting room until I am finished with my physical and energetic cleansing of the space. 

Client expectations for me (the therapist) 

  • You can expect me to always​

    • Arrive in a cleanly state

    • Wash my forearms and elbows in the studio directly prior to each session ​

    •  Wear scrubs 

    • Sanitize the table and any materials prior to your session 

    • Conduct a detailed intake interview prior to the beginning of your session 

    • Create a personalized massage plan to treat your health needs

    • Be flexible to your needs and receptive to comments and critiques about pressure, speed, and areas of tension. 

Cancellations 

Life happens! I understand how flexible our lives can be, so I shaped my cancellation policies to reflect the surprising, yet rewarding nature of the expected and unexpected . Refer below to review my cancellation and rescheduling policies. 

If you ... 

Cancel Ahead of time

Contact me through phone or email with your session details. You will have the option to rebook through me directly or through the website.

Cancel Day of 

Contact me through PHONE ONLY with your session details. You will have to rebook through the website and pay a deposit to secure your next session.

Don't show

You are still obligated to submit the REMAINDER of your payment, minus your deposit. This can be done via direct transfer Zelle, or I can send you a payment link through the website.

Want/need to end your session before its over

I want to protect the comfortability and well being of my clients at all times. It is the client's right to terminate a session early, however they are still  OBLIGATED to FULFILL their payment of service.
